Min emacs bruger bare det aktuelle katalog som jeg var i da jeg
startede Emacs. Dette er da absolut det mest naturlige.

*Måske* kan du i din opstart globalt sætte default-directory til noget
du finder fornuftigt. Mindre sandsynligt kan du kalde funktionen cd
fra din opstart.

Prøv med følgende i din opstartsfil:

(setq-default default-directory "/home/username")
