Det her er strengt taget ikke et emacs-spørgsmål.  Du skal bare sørge
for at opsætningsvariablene er sat inden (i proces-heirakisk forstand)
Emacs bliver kaldt.

Hvis du kalder Emacs fra en menu i dit skrivebordssystem, så skal du
altså sørge for at den kommandofortolkerprogram der starter
skrivebordssystemet får sat de nødvendige opsætningsvariable.  Hos mig
er det programmet `~/.xsession` der starter mit skrivebordssystem, så
det jeg har gjort er at sørge for at det (implicit) får sat alle de
opsætningsvariable jeg normalt bruger.
