Du trænger til at læse lidt op på din etik, og ideerne bag Open
Source. Det er *ikke* meningen med Open Source at spænde ben for folk,
der hellere vil udvikle closed-source programmer. Derimod er det
meningen at Open Source skal give *alle* mulighed for at nyde godt af
de opdagelser og den software, som udvikles under Open Source.  Uanset
om det er Bill Gates, Larry Ellison eller Linus Torvalds.  Faktisk har
Linus selv sagt, at han ville være glad hvis Microsoft benyttede Linux
- blot de overholder spillereglerne (d.v.s. ikke gør det til
closed-source), må alle jo gøre med Linux som de har lyst.

Med andre ord, så strider din tanke direkte mod selve ideen bag Open
Source. I al fald sådan som jeg opfatter den, men jeg er rimeligt
sikker på at det ikke er helt galt forstået.

Det er derfor det er så svært. Vi (Open Source samfundet) har nogle
høje idealer, som vi gerne vil have de andre til at spille med på.  Vi
kan ikke tillade os at benytte de samme beskidte tricks som vores
modstandere bruger, for derved ville vi netop undergrave vores egne
idealer.
