Lidt OT - Copyright

--------------
The notion of an "author" who has "rights" to a "work" is a relatively new
one, appearing in one form or another in the first century after the
invention of printing. Before the printing press, it was impossible to
separate a work from the physical instantiation of that work so copyright
had little meaning. With the invention of printing, the relative expense
of copying and distributing works made copyrights possible, and led to
their enforcement. Future technological developments are making copyrights
unsustainable because the barrier to copying and distributing drops to
zero. It will become impossible to talk about a physical instantiation of
a work as something separate from the work itself because there can be
arbitrarily many instantiations.

Det er fra
http://www.firstmonday.dk/issues/issue4_6/kelsey/index.html
