Det er jeg enig i.  

Og faktisk har jeg intet problem med at nogen slemme monopolister i al
hemmelighed bakser en protokol sammen og prøver at få den gjort til
standard --- bare alle frit kan bruge protokollen.  Og hvis den ikke er
god (sikker, hurtig, ...) nok, så kan jeg jo bare lave en *anden*
protokol der er.  Og hvis den ikke er god nok, så bliver den vel ikke
ISO-godkendt...?

Det kan godt være at nogle vil være sure over at /de/ ikke fik foden
inden for døren da protokollen blev lavet, men fra et rent
samfundsmæssigt synspunkt kan jeg ikke se at det er vigtigt.  Fra et
frihedssynspunkt (som i Fri Software) er det i hvert fald fuldstændig
ligegyldigt.

Hvad er problemet helt præcist, Keld? ;-))
