Well, Fritz Teufel fra IBM kommer at stemme ehnvehrt oss projekt som
truer IBMs intressen (uanset hvad Stassemeyer siger). Jag skulle
vilje sige: "IBM has shown the extent of its contempt for you":

At LWN ikke forstår det är meget underligt.

Det er bl a IBM som ligger bag "liberaliseringen" af EPC:

"Gränsen i EPO-praxis för vad som utgör tillräcklig teknisk anknytning
tycks emellertid vara ganska flytande. Och van den Berg menar i den
ovannämnda artikeln att det inte finns något utrymme för en ytterligare
töjning av praxis inom ramen för oförändrade EPO-bestämmelser. Trycket
från bl a datoroprogramtillverkare och från datorindustrin, exemplierad
av bl a IBM, har under senare år dock varit starkt för en ytterligare
"liberaliserning" av EPO-praxis i förening med en ändring främst av
art. 52 genom att slopa dess andra stycke med de där angivna
undantagen." Lennarth Törnroth i NIR 1999.

Men det er naturligtvis _meget_ viktigt at vi diskuterer SCO vs IBM de
närmaste veckorna så att vi ikke diskuterer beslutningen om direktivet i
JURI förrän det er forsent.
