Fra Merriam-Webster: File(6, noun) -  a row of persons, animals, or things
arranged one behind the other.
Begrebet "to march in file" er rimeligt kendt. Heraf følger hængemapperne
i et arkivskab (file cabinet) vel rimeligt logisk.
