Hvorfor bruger Ubuntu scsi-driver til ATA diske?



Distribution: kubuntu-7.10-desktop-i386.iso
Grub menu.lst:  title           Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-14-generic

Primær IDE disk. som normalt i Linux kaldes /dev/hda, får devicenavn
/dev/sda

Jeg har 2 diske: en  PATA og en SCSI

Hvorfor har Ubuntu valgt at betragte en IDE disk som en SCSI disk?. Er der nogen fordel ved det?.
