Så opfører din maskine sig mærkeligt. Prøv at se følgende:

sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 0
sslug@sslug > yes > fil &
[1] 10460
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1580
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 68954 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1664
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 143786 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1720
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 196767 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1760
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 242823 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1792
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 276086 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > ls -l
total 1824
-rw-r--r-- 1 brother user 304016 Jul 18 18:44 fil
sslug@sslug > kill %1

Tydeligvis skrives der til fil undervejs. En anden ting du kan prøve
er at i et vindue skrive:

sslug@sslug > touch fil2
sslug@sslug > head -f fil2

og så i et andet vindue skrive:

sslug@sslug > yes >> fil2

Du skulle så se en masse y'er fare ned over skærmen i det første
vindue. Hvis ovenstående virker, men du stadigvæk har et problem med
det oprindelige program, så er det programmet der ikke flusher uddata
ordentligt eller også kommer der slet ingen uddata fra programmet før
tilsidst.
