I ovenstående er x1-6-00-0a-e6-17-e4-f1 sikkert dit hostnavn (eller er det
en MAC adresse med X1-6- foran ??). 

Så vidt som jeg ser det (er heller ikke ekspert ;-) ), så har du to muligheder: 
* Enten ændre dit hostnavn til noget fornuftigt. Så vidt jeg husker kan du
nøjes med at gøre det ved at rette i din /etc/hosts (hvordan ser indholdet
af denne fil ud ?). Men jeg ved ikke om dette vil give andre problemer.

* Eller rette miljø-variablen PS1 til, så den viser det ønskede (Se [1] søg
efter PS1). Min PS1 ser sådan ud sslug@sslug \W]\$, hvilket giver følgende
resultat:
sslug@sslug tmp]$
da mit brugernavn er XXX min computers navn er localhost og den mappe, som
jeg er i, hedder tmp. PS1 kan så bare hardcodes til at vise localhost.
