Den relevante del af min fstab ser sådan ud:

/dev/hdb1   /home/kurt/dokumenter   ext3    defaults        1 3
/dev/hdc1   /data01                 ext3    defaults        1 4

Men det er jo ikke hele historien. Det er kun det at få mountet
harddiskene ved opstart.

Herefter kommer det at give rettigheder til de brugere der skal bruge
harddiskene.

For at taget /home/kurt/dokumenter først.

Som bruger root gjore jeg følgende:

Jeg oprettede mappen med mkdir /home/kurt/dokumenter

hvis jeg tager en ls -l for /home/kurt/dokumenter vil det se
nogenlunde sådan her ud:

drwxr-xr-x  12 root root 4096 Mar 20 20:24 dokumenter

Derefter laved jeg en chown kurt /home/kurt/dokumenter

(Så ejer kurt mappen)

en ny ls -l /home/kurt/dokumenter ser nu således ud:

drwxr-xr-x  12 kurt root 4096 Mar 20 20:24 dokumenter

Herefter laver jeg en chgrp kurt /home/kurt/dokumenter

(nu ejer gruppen kurt mappen)

Med en ls -l ser det nu sådan her ud:

drwxr-xr-x  12 kurt kurt 4096 Mar 20 20:24 dokumenter

Nu er /home/kurt/dokumenter fuldstændig ejet af brugeren kurt og han
kan nu arbejde på/i mappen.

for /data01 har jeg valgt en anden indgangsvinkel da alle brugere skal
kunne få rettigheder under mappen.

Jeg har ladet root beholde rettighederne til mappen med give alle
rettigheder med chmod 777 /data01, hvilket giver alle alle rettigher.


Når du har sat harddisken i og fået den mounted i filsystemet
overtager styring af fil/mappe rettigheder altså tilgangen til
harddisken for brugerne.

Jeg håber det afklarer hvad der sker.
