Kan du ikke præcisere det lidt?:
Når man nyinstallerer/opretter ny(e) bruger(e), danner man en
/home/<BRUGER>-mappe; skal man så SLETTE denne og erstatte med den
hidtidige  /home/<BRUGER>-mappe??

øhh, rettigheder - hvordan er det nu lige, man finder/ændrer dem?
('chmod'?). Og hvordan ændrer man uid/gid - hvis nødvendigt?
