har du "hwclock" installeret? "locate" finder kun noget hvis updatedb har været kørt fornylig.

Ja, util-linux-2.11x-3mdk med hwclock er med i MDK9.1,
og er installeret.
locate hwclock finder:
/usr/share/man/man8/hwclock.8.bz2
/usr/share/doc/util-linux-2.11x/README.hwclock
/usr/sbin/hwclock
/sbin/hwclock

Prøv grep "clock" /etc/init.d/*

Bingo, i /etc/init.d/halt findes dette:
runcmd "Syncing hardware clock to system time" /sbin/hwclock $CLOCKFLAGS
Det var svaret på mit problem.
