Multiple USB/Firewire devices



Hmmm, jeg har ingen problemer med at se og mounte USB flash devices eller diske, ej heller Firewire diske.

Problemet opstår når jeg vil kunne mounte flere af dimserne samtidig.
De hører jo alle til under scsi laget, så når fx. min USB flash dims hedder /dev/sdc, min 3½" backupdisk hedder /dev/sdc1, og min 2½" transport disk har både en logisk ext3 og en logisk FAT partition, hørende under en extended partition, og de to brugbare partitioner dermed hedder /dev/sdc5 (ext3) og /dev/sdc6 (FAT), så har jeg sq problemer med mine mountpoints.


Jeg ville som mountpoints have
  /dev/sdc    /usbflash
  /dev/sdc1   /usbbackup
  /dev/sdc5   /usbext3
  /dev/sdc6   /usbfat

så de ikke skulle interferere, men det går der ligesom kage i...

Om det er USB eller Firewire jeg bruger til diske, er li'som ret ligegyldigt, eftersom begge hører under SCSI-laget.


Jeg laver tingene selv; det er Slackware, og ingen Gnomer eller K'er.




Fandt Kurt Garloff's (garloff.de) rescan-scsi-bus.sh,v 1.15 script til at scanne bussen for den slags devices.
Output med en disk og en flashdimmer tilsluttet:
