Uanset 16/24bpp og genstart af X melder glxinfo:
"direct rendering: No"

....Og det vil jeg påstå er løwn! Med over 30 FPS burde tandhjulene køre 
jævnt.
Det her er med 24bpp, men det er cirka det samme med 16bpp
