iwatch



I min søgen på at optimere levetiden på mit nyerhvervede SSD drev (der i øvrigt virker helt fantastisk; vi taler om ca. dobbelt så hurtig respons under boot og applikationsstartup!) kigger jeg for tiden på iwatch for at finde ud af hvilke filer der bliver ændret meget i...

Desværre bliver proc, dev og tmp jo ændret en hel del så de skulle gerne eksluderes. Men af en eller anden grund kan jeg ikke få det til at virke. Jeg har prøvet med

sudo iwatch -r -e all_events -X '\/dev*' -X '\/proc*' -X '\/tmp*'  /
og
sudo iwatch -r -e all_events -x /dev -x /proc -x /tmp  /

Men jeg får stadig proc og dev filer med...Jeg kunne sikkert grep -v'e outputtet (det har jeg også prøvet og det virker da), men så vidt jeg har forstået er det smartere at fortælle iwatch hvad den skal eksludere.

Er der nogen der kan fortælle mig hvad jeg gør galt?
